Manufacturing and Fabrication

The fabrication of equipment is done in-house, from all welding, to machining and assembly, to electrical and instrumentation installation. Our panel shop is qualified as a UL 508A facility. On completion of the assembly, we perform actual shop testing of the completed equipment to ensure simple field startups

SEi manufactures equipment highlighted by the following features:

Prefabrication

  • CNC Plasma Cutting, Shearing, Punching, Sawing, Rolling, CNC Brake Forming, Beveling, Angle & Structural Shape Forming, Half-Pipe.

  • Forming.

  • Certification on over 250 weld procedures.

Finishing

  • High-definition plasma burner with beveling capabilities.

Fabrication

  • All weld procedures certified by ASME Code Sections I, VIII and IX by qualified welders. Processes include FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW and SMAW.

  • Most weld-able alloys are included in welding procedures.

  • Automatic, semi-automatic, and manual methods utilizing mechanical equipment including manipulators, turning rolls and welding positioners.

Machining

  • Fully-equipped CNC and manual machining department provides comprehensive manufacturing services.

  • Complete assemblies and replacement parts produced entirely in-house.

  • Tight control of quality throughout the entire production process for projects requiring both fabrication and machining services.

  • Cleaning and painting capabilities include a full range of blast finishes as well as all types of industrial coatings, including epoxy, zinc and enamel.

  • Specialization in high-quality mechanical polishing.

  • Various finishes offered from mill to mirror levels, and includes electro-polishing.

Painting

  • Surface preparation booth (24’W x 22’H x 80’L) and paint booth (24’W x 22’H x 80’L) that can also be split into (2) 40’L booths; both have the ability to cure up to 140 degrees F.

Assembly & Testing

  • Fully-equipped assembly department to handle complex mechanical, electrical, pipe fitting, and complete machine assembly, either in-house or in the field, with experience in hydraulic, air, gear, and steam driven systems.

  • Facilities with dedicated quality control staff, including certified welding inspectors.

Additionally, because we maintain a library of part drawings, we can easily machine parts for other applications. UL/CSA enclosure panels can also be created in-house.
